We would like to inform you that we have made some changes to the IP addresses for outgoing emails. Hence sender1.zohomail.com will not be available anymore.
We would like to inform you that the IP address associated with our SMTP server smtp.zoho.com is subject to change based on necessity. Hence it will not have a specific IP address associated with itself. If you're looking to configure your Zoho account to send mails, please use the smtp server smtp.zoho.com directly, rather than using the IP corresponding to it.
Hi Karthic, thanks for your response. What would you recommend for firewalls which only work with raw IP addresses (not hostnames), e.g. iptables? Allowing all outbound 465/tcp would be sub-optimal to say the least.
You may add the IP address(126.96.36.199) that resolves to the hostname smtp.zoho.com in your firewall. We will also forward your concern to our administrative team and will try come up with some public announcement in case of any changes made to our servers/IP addresses.
mail.zoho.com just changed to 188.8.131.52. I've resorted to doing a DNS lookup in a cron job - it's getting a little comical now. Is there really no way of exposing a static address to the world, e.g. via some sort of reverse proxy? No other email service I've used has a floating SMTP address.
Due to security reasons we will not be able to maintain static IP addresses for our servers. However the change made to our IP address will not be so frequent and it will be done only in case of emergencies and in situations where it is extremely necessary.
I use Zoho and the Outbound Gateway feature to send email to another email service for encryption and other processing. That service requires me to create an explicit route and whitelist it. It used to be sender1.zohomail.com, but some time ago it changed, and now I cannot figure out what Zoho mail server is being used to send mail to the outbound gateway.
Can you please confirm the sending Zoho server used to relay/MTA email to a customer specified outbound gateway?
The IP address from which your emails are relayed to the outbound gateway is 184.108.40.206. You may either whitelist this IP address or the host name sender-of-o51.zoho.com. So that the outbound gateway will be able to accept your emails without any issues.
Thanks, I don't think that's the only one, I just found that sender-op-o11.zoho.com is sending to gateway. I found another post that said 220.127.116.11/26 is the range, I started entering those routes (one at a time, which is a major pain) and it is working, but last email was sender-op-o11.zoho.com. Is this inconsistent?
