moment, it is not possible to direct Zoho Projects to create invoices in
Zoho Books instead of Zoho Invoice. This feature is on our road map and
we'll write you when this is made available.
However we suggest
the following work-around which would help you to bill your client
(create invoices) for the projects created in Zoho Projects:
1. Sign in to Zoho Projects 2. Enter your time sheet entries in Zoho Projects 3. Navigate to Zoho Books(assuming you are already signed in to Zoho Books) and click on Money In tab followed by Invoices sub tab 4. Click on New Invoice for Project link which will open up the New Invoice for Projects pop-up window 5. Select the project from the Select Project field's drop-down list 6. Fill in the rest of the fields and click on Create Invoice 7. This will take you to the New Invoice page 8. Select the customer and click on Save 9. The invoice will be created.
Option - 2
You can use "Time Tracking" , the new feature of Zoho Books, and create a new project and invoice this project. To do this
1.Add a project and choose how you would like to bill it 2.Add tasks to a project 3.Log time spent for the project, task or by a staff 4.Generate invoice for a project and e-mail it to your client
Seamless integration should be amazing if possible in as many aspects as possible and a version literally of Books on Project as well. Financial Capability directly in Project would be a very major value add.
Integrating other Zoho Services (especially Zoho CRM and Zoho Projects) with Zoho Books is in our next agenda. Is there any update on this topic? I am interested in general in the integration of Zoho Project infromation in Zoho Books.
And specifically, I would be interested to know if there is any way of triggering an invoice process in Zoho Books based on the status of a Milestone in Zoho Projects? That is, when a Milestone is set to "Complete".
Currently we are working on integrating Zoho CRM with Zoho Books. Recently, we launched the next of level of integration between the services where the creation of a potential in Zoho CRM will create an estimate/invoice in Zoho Books based on the workflow set in Zoho CRM. Later, based on the status of the Potential in Zoho CRM, the status of the estimate or invoice can be defined. We are continuously working on the integration and keep updating the level of integration between the services

How do we integrate books to crm? Most of the examples show how to go from CRM to Books. We actually sterted with Books and are looking at using the CRM or Project Manager and would like to know if all customer details can be synced.
Accounts and Contacts from Zoho CRM can be imported into Zoho Books and invoices/estimates can be created for them. These invoices/estimates can be viewed from Zoho CRM itself. You can know more about the integration from the link below:
I definitely think integrating Zoho Projects with Zoho Books is a must. I am not sure why you would only do this with Zoho Invoice. It seems zoho invoice has a lot better integration in general, Maybe I'll switch to invoice and use a different software for my books.

Zoho Books has the same integration options with Zoho Projects as Zoho Invoice. At present, API's for Zoho Books is not available and hence we haven't integrated it with Zoho Projects fully. However, our development folks are on the verge of completing the API's and we would certainly keep you posted once the complete integration is made available.

We presume that your requirement is with regards to creating an invoice for projects in Zoho Projects and it should reflect in Zoho Books. If this is not your requirement, could you please write back to email@example.com with more details on this regard. So, we can investigate and assist you further.
At the moment, you would be able to create invoices in Zoho Books for projects/time entries saved in Zoho Projects. You can click the Menu button on top of the invoice list view and choose "+ Invoice for Zoho Projects" to be able to create invoices in Zoho Books. Then, you can select the project that you wish to create the invoice for.
Please note that this option is available only for the portal owners of Zoho Projects.
Three year old post, and still disappointment. It would seem that community needs and requirements have fallen on deaf ears.
I wouldn't be alone in stating my disappointment in how disconnected your apps really are. It really looks like we will only be able to use CRM for project management and externally calculate hours in excel the way we do now. Here is why:
1) Books only creates invoice information from POTENTIAL data, not sales data.
2) Project doesn't keep Books abreast on what hours are billed / unbillled, which will surely mean we miss billing hours to one client or another.
3) Timesheets doesn't sync between project and books or project and invoice.
4) Projects can generate an invoice, but only to books.
5) The disconnect surely means internal paperwork and procedures, which isn't much different than what we have now.
6) Books and Invoice templates don't even get access to my CRM pricing and products? Nor my invoice templates? WOW, IS THIS REALLY A CONSUMER PRODUCT?
The integration between Zoho Books and Zoho CRM will be releasing before the end of this quarter. Post that we will take up integration between Zoho Books and Zoho Projects.
With the upcoming Zoho Books - Zoho CRM integration, you will be able to import your Products from Zoho CRM into Zoho Books. This should help you with creating invoices in Zoho Books with the Products from Zoho CRM. Many of the user requested features have been included as part of this integration. We will update you once this is available so that you can give it a hands-on try.

i'd like to link ESTIMATE (Zoho Books) to PROJECT (Zoho
Project).. then create an INVOICE of billable activities or other
expenses like a provider service (Zoho Books) and track my gains (from
estimate to real invoice).

PS: Now i'm Zoho Books pro user, i'm evaluating Zoho
Projects (hoping integration between them) as "job costing"
software solution to manage my italian communication agency.

possible in Zoho Books. We have this request on our customer wish
