Any email provider/host I have dealt with in the past offered: (I have seen them called all of the following...)
- multi-recipient addresses (MRA)
- forward-only addresses
*I KNOW, you have an "alias" which is something different.
There is no SMTP/POP etc... they are only configured to forward emails received to all of the addresses included.
An application is committees. We want several people within a committee to be able to send mails to all members simply by sending to eg. email@example.com Another application is firstname.lastname@example.org, in the case where the staff needed to receive website forms changes and there are several forms on the website. In that case, you only need to update the one MRA.
I know you can create groups within Zoho, but it is cumbersome to add people. The people on committees do not share the same email domain, so groups within a company are not relevant, either..
Since MRA's are a common feature of email hosting, I was a little surprised you weren't clear on the meaning :-)
I wish you had them.
